  Learn how DNA from archival museum samples helps to identify a Lahontan cutthroat trout strain native to Lake Tahoe and Pyramid Lake, thought to have gone extinct! Mary Peacock, PhD, is a professor emeritus from the University of Nevada, Reno, with a research focus on Conservation Genetics. She worked primarily on ESA-listed threatened and endangered species found throughout the western United States.

  All donations and contributions benefit the Western Sierra Food Bank.

  Donations of turkeys, hams, desserts and money are needed and can be given or ordered at Downieville Grocery and the Sierra City Country Store.
