Learn traditional tapestry style weaving on a Rigid Heddle Loom, as we create coasters using four different tapestry techniques. In this beginning tapestry workshop, we will learn the history and roots of tapestry weavers, share traditional stories, and completely slow down to be "in the moment" of tapestry weaving. This workshop is a time commitment to the art form of traditional tapestry, which will inspire you to create your own designs of picture and pattern using the techniques learned. Knowledge of basic weaving principles required. Guided by Michelle Haselton

Supplies Included: All Weaving and Warping material, Tapestry needle, and Tapestry Technique Resource Packet. Hot tea, Coffee and small snacks will be available.

Supplies Needed: Please bring own Loom and all weaving and warping accessories, as well as, own personal beverages, snacks and lunch. Looms are available to rent through Lakes Basin Creations. Please see Private Instruction and Rentals for details.
