Local artist's exhibits at MCRC:

Signs of Light: Local Photography by Mary Davey

Exhibit opens November 1

Mary Davey fell in love with photography at a very young age, studying under accomplished photographers Ben Stetson and her father Harold Burton. Focusing on photography and photojournalism in college, she has since honed her skill behind the camera for decades. Inspired by the natural beauty of our region, her works document the changing of the seasons and capture the abundant wildlife here. Rural scenes also make up much of her work. Davey regularly donates her time and photography to the Sierra County Chamber of Commerce, and many local fundraisers. She lives in Sierra City with her husband and teenage son.

Stop by during our open hours (M-Th: 10-4, F: 1-4) to view this beautiful exhibit. For more information call MCRC at 836-0446.
