Who we are
Betty and Tom Vilas began serving the west side of Sierra County in 1947 here in beautiful downtown Downieville. Their daughter, Cindy, has managed the store since 2000. Customers say they are glad Sierra Hardware is here. They have all your plumbing and electrical needs, hardware, paint, small house wares department, sporting goods, camping and fishing supplies and are a California DFG agent selling hunting and fishing licenses. Gift items are also available. They are here to help you with your projects. Sierra Hardware is what a hardware store used to be.
