I attended the Banff Mountain Film Festival at the Yuba Theatre for the first time, this past weekend. For me it was also the first visit ever to the Yuba Theatre. I am incredibly impressed with both experiences. The Theatre is more than a gem, it is absolutely incredible. The Sierra County Arts Council has done an amazing job at bringing back the Theatre to it former glory. It's easy to imagine the performances from times past, when miners piled in getting entertained. The wood floor has a lot to tell!

The Film Festival was also an incredible experience. Again, thanks to the Sierra County Arts Council, this event was a huge success with at least both Friday and Saturday sold out. Not sure about today's show as I missed it, but a good time was had by all this weekend. Amazing films, great people coming to town to see it. All around lots of fun!

To top it all all, the Taqueria La Cocina De Oro was open—I LOVE THAT PLACE! And with the film festival, and all the mountain bikers in town to work on the Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship Trail Blaze cleanup, they were more than busy.
